"Winter Dipper" Northern Light winter picture - print

This first ice northern lights picture was taken in Northern Minnesota. This freshly froze over lake made a great setting for this Aurora light show. The upper atmosphere was just right, to bring out the blue from the Big Dipper's bright stars. I never saw them like that the rest of the winter. Very unique.
